Community Partnership Awards
United Way of Pierce County’s annual Community Partnership Awards recognize outstanding workplace campaigns and campaign volunteers, community-based organizations and community volunteers. A distinguished panel reviews the nominations and selects the award recipients. The awards are announced at UWPC’s annual Warm Your Heart celebration in April.

SPIRIT OF PIERCE COUNTY AWARD
This is given to the local company that demonstrates consistently strong performance in the conduct of their United Way workplace campaigns, diversity and depth in their community service, and energetic and bold leadership in addressing community issues and needs. Recipient companies should exemplify the highest standards of civic engagement and community-based philanthropy.
CAMPAIGN AWARDS
- Private-sector Campaigns of the Year
- Small-to-Mid-Size Employers (<100 Employees)
- Large Employers (>100 Employees)
- Public-sector Campaign of the Year
- Combined Federal Campaign of the Year (CFC Board Decision)
- Campaign Volunteer(s) of the Year (1-3 Individuals)
Campaign awards recognize outstanding companies/organizations/individuals who demonstrate excellence in the conduct of their workplace campaigns. Such excellence should be evident in their achievement or strong progress toward participation and donation goals, union and non-union collaboration, community education efforts, and institutional leadership and support for United Way.
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARDS
- Community Partner of the Year (Organization)
- Community Partner of the Year (Labor Union)
- Community Volunteer of the Year (1-3 Individuals)
Community Service awards recognize outstanding community partners with United Way (agency/union/individual) whose efforts have changed reality for residents of Pierce County in dynamic, sustainable ways.
