A planned gift is an ideal way to leave a legacy that lasts. We welcome these gifts to our community, in the form of bequests, endowments, annuities or gifts of property. As communities change, their human service needs also evolve. Through United Way, your gift can adapt to fit the needs of Pierce County.

By making a planned gift you make a statement about the future, offering hope to people in Pierce County for years to come. If you would like to discuss planned giving through United Way, please contact Mike Robinson at (253) 597-7495 or miker@uwpc.org.

Gifts from Retirement Plans and Life Insurance
By listing United Way as the beneficiary of part or all of the balance of your retirement plan or IRA, you may dramatically reduce the amount of estate and income taxes to be paid by your estate. By naming United Way as the beneficiary, your estate will be entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the full amount of the distribution. United Way will not pay any income tax, and the full amount of the plan or benefits directed to United Way for use in addressing urgent local human service needs. You are welcome to let us know what issues matter most to you.
