Attendance at one of these sessions is mandatory. The application will only be available on-line and requires password access. Passwords will only be given to those programs that attend one of our information and training sessions. Please note that we are limiting the number of seats in each of the sessions to 40. We are also limiting attendance to no more than two people representing any single program. Seating will be “first come-first served” based on RSVP date and time. RSVPs will only be accepted via email to tammyb@uwpc.org.
Please review the supporting documents carefully—SAFETY NET INVESTMENT: New Strategy and Process and Eligibility Criteria For Application to United Way of Pierce County’s Community Safety Net. These documents explain our CSN investment targets and our qualifying criteria for CSN investments. To be considered for CSN investment dollars an agency must meet the qualifying criteria outlined in this document. In addition, CSN dollars are only invested in on-going program services in one of our focus areas of Education, Income, Health or Emergency/Support Services. The document, SAFETY NET INVESTMENT: New Strategy and Process, outlines our investment goals in each of our focus areas and provides examples of the types of programs and services we will consider for investment—the examples are NOT all inclusive.
Our CSN investment process operates on a three-year cycle. Applications are only accepted once every three years and those programs chosen for investments will receive investment dollars for a three-year period; in this case January 1, 2011 thru December 31, 2013. We will accept applications June 23 to July 30, 2010.
We strongly encourage you to apply for CSN investment dollars if your program meets our community investment targets. This will be a very competitive investment cycle. Our goal, as always, is to ensure the volunteers on the investment teams have the opportunity to invest donor dollars in the best programs in our community. Be assured that every eligible program submitting an application will be given equal and fair consideration in our review and selection process.
