New VP of Community Education & Resource Development Arrives

Constance SwankUnited Way of Pierce County is excited to announce the addition of our new Vice President for Community Education and Resource Development, Dr. Constance Swank.

Constance comes to United Way with a tremendous track record in nonprofit leadership at the highest levels, including the following:

  • Chief Operating Officer of the nation’s third largest Junior League, of Atlanta, Georgia. Executive Director of Friendship Force International, also headquartered in Atlanta, a global citizen exchange organization spanning 55 countries worldwide. 19 years with AARP in Washington, D.C., including Research Director, Human Resources Director, and Special Assistant to the Executive.
  • In earlier positions, Constance was Project Director for the National Council for Alternative Work Patterns, as well as Legislative Aide to a United States Senator.

Constance has helped every organization with which she has worked to change and adapt to provide more up-to-date, leading edge approaches and administrative structures for staff, volunteers, and the communities in which they have worked. Her expertise will be vital as we move forward.
