Youth Hold Suicide Prevention Benefit Concert

Tacoma, Wash.-Inspired by personal experiences, teens from United Way's Youth United Leadership Council held a suicide prevention benefit concert Friday, June 4th at 7 p.m. at the Liberty Theater in Puyallup.

Bands featured at the concert include Kane Hodder, Run On Anything, Dramatics, Time To Fly and Sub-Motive. Admission is $8 and proceeds will go to teen suicide prevention.

Each youth that attends the show will receive a key tag with three 24-hour hotline numbers that can be used for help with suicide issues, sexual assault, and drugs and alcohol.

Youth United is a United Way of Pierce County program that connects youth with their community through volunteer efforts. Each year, the Youth Leadership Council chooses an issue affecting teens and works to make an impact on that issue.
