Costco Wholesale
Costco Wholesale has been recognized with the
"Top 25 Community Leadership Award". This annual
award is given to 25 companies in Pierce County that help
their community in many ways.
It's been the culture of Costco to make a difference
in their communities by asking employees to give what they
can to support a strong Community Safety Net that helps neighbors
and friends in need. They strive to educate their employees
on the importance of giving back to their community.
Along with running a fantastic campaign Costco
participated in Day of Caring. They completed a big project
clearing overgrown brush at one of the Metro Park locations.
Costco has also help provide food and beverages for many United
Way events throughout the year. Everyone is always happy to
see Costco muffins and danish served when it's time for snacks.
The spirit of giving back
is what motivates Costco to continue its proud tradition of
support to United Way. In support of their employees Costco
offers to match each pledge at 50 cents on the dollar. Costco
is a true model of good corporate and employee commitment.
