United Way of Pierce County’s annual Community Partnership Awards recognize outstanding workplace campaigns and campaign volunteers, community-based organizations and community volunteers. A distinguished and diverse panel reviewed the nominations and selected the award recipients, recusing themselves from any deliberations where they or their companies or organizations were under consideration.

SPIRIT OF PIERCE COUNTY AWARD, which represents the highest honor bestowed upon an organization by United Way of Pierce County. This award is based upon the broad-based, year long community involvement and campaign excellence demonstrated by an organization.

Recipients of this award show a consistent pattern of outstanding campaign results over the past five years including active management support, knowledgable and motivated campaign coordinators, and effective community involvements strategies.

Organizations receiving this award also show ongoing support for the community and for United Way of Pierce County above and beyond the workplace campaign, such as volunteer service, participation in the Loaned Executive Program, and sponsorship of major events.
