The Barbara & Charley Bingham Legacy Society honors those who served as board members and campaign chairs for United Way of Pierce County in the past half-century. Through their vision, their oversight, their commitment and their guidance, United Way has evolved with the community.

Since its founding here in 1921, United Way of Pierce County has linked local companies and volunteers with those who need help most, and has provided nearly $200 million to support vital health and human services in our community. Barbara & Charley Bingham served as Community Campaign Chairs in 1994. Both were active civic leaders on many vital concerns, with special interest in children and their families.

The Barbara & Charley Bingham Legacy Society is chaired by Dr. George Tanbara.
