The Woodworth Family

The members of the Woodworth family have been longtime friends to of our community, and key volunteers for United Way of Pierce County, beginning with Harold Woodworth, a business and civic leader. In the 1950s, J. Alden Woodworth served as a board member for United Way of Pierce County and was a generous donor for over 30 years. His son, John Woodworth served not only as a board member, but also as Community Campaign chair (1992), chaired the board (1996), and later served two years as chair of our Alexis de Tocqueville Society (2000-2002). The Woodworth family honors this tradition through continued service and generous gifts to local non-profit and community organizations.
