What is a Loaned Executive?

A Loaned Executive (LE) is an employee whose company “loaned’ him or her to United Way to work with the community during the campaign. Their role is to assist campaign coordinators inplanning and implementing a successful employee campaign, educating about human service needs of Pierce County and answering questions about United Way of Pierce County and it's efforts in the community.

A Loaned Executive:

  • Helps coordinators develop effective campaign plans
  • Analyzes the giving history of the company and works with United Way of Pierce County to establish and record current status of the campaign
  • Helps make presentations at campaign rallies, meetings, events and makes asks for contributions
  • Manages the distribution and collection of campaign materials
  • Supports your campaign by helping to plan and implement campaign kickoff and recognition events
  • Provides educational materials and arranges for speakers, tours and information on human services in Pierce County
  • Helps submit all final reports with pledge forms to United Way of Pierce County in a timely manner
  • Evaluate campaign and makes recommendations for next year

In return, the company loaning an LE is represented in the community as a supporter of health and human services, and the “loaned” employee returns with enhanced professional skills and a greater understanding of the needs in the community.

If you are unable to loan an employee, please consider sponsoring a Loaned Executive to represent your company with a contribution of $10,000.

For a smaller contribution you can partially sponsor a Loaned Executive, who will represent your organization and provide you with recognition as an official sponsor.
