ACT NOW projects offer a variety of ways to connect individuals and groups with meaningful, short-term volunteer opportunities. Give back to the community, on your schedule, one project at a time.

Volunteer: ACT NOW is an initiative of the Volunteer Center that brings together individuals and groups who want to contribute to their community and local organizations that can benefit from volunteer time and effort. ACT NOW allows you to experience volunteering at different organizations while connecting with peers and building relationships.

Lead: Become a Project Captain. Manage a volunteer team, coordinate project activities, and serve as an ambassador for United Way of Pierce County while gaining leadership skills and directly contributing to the community. Apply to be a Project Captain.
