COMMUNITY IMPACT INVESTMENT FUND

The  UWPC Community Impact Investment process is closed until 2021.

WHERE ARE THE FUNDS INVESTED?

United Way volunteersUnited Way of Pierce County is committed to one big goal: breaking the cycle of poverty in our community! This is the goal that guides our investments and defines our measures of success. At the heart of the next generation of community impact is the shift from being a transactional funder to a relational partner. United Way will continue our long tradition of making investments in our community but with the focus on achieving specific outcomes that result in Strong Families, Successful Kids and Connected Communities.

Strong Families: Ensuring families are able to access services and support so they can become financially stable.

Successful Kids: All children entering kindergarten are ready to learn and are working at or above grade level by the end of third grade, so they are positioned for success in school and life.

Basic Needs: Supporting the critical safety net of services, opportunities and supports for low-income individuals and families that move them from crisis to stability.

WHO MAKES THE INVESTMENT DECISIONS?

Community volunteers, just like you. The final recommendations are then approved by the United Way of Pierce County Board of Directors. Interested in being a part of the process? Complete an Investment Volunteer Application.
