When everyone in the community works together, we have the power to accomplish more than any single group can on its own. United Way of Pierce County supports that philosophy and is proud to promote Day of Caring events. These events are designed to connect resources to the people and groups that need a helping hand. By working together, we can accomplish even more.
WHAT IS DAY OF CARING?
Bringing people together to build a stronger community, United Way of Pierce County’s annual Day of Caring connects volunteers with local nonprofit organizations to complete projects that may not otherwise get done. Projects range from taking children on a field trip to adding a fresh coat of paint on the walls of a transitional home. Day of Caring also provides an opportunity to develop long-lasting relationships with colleagues and other community members.
