South Sound 2-1-1 has been a lifeline for the past 23 years; today 227 will call for help. They might call needing food or help keeping their lights on, or a place to stay for the night. They will probably be embarrassed, they will probably be desperate and they will probably be relieved when a real person answers. That person will have compassion, understanding and be a trained professional who can offer guidance and resources.
