TOCQUEVILLE SOCIETY ($10,000+ annually)


United Way’s Tocqueville Society is an elite group of local philanthropists, community-minded individuals and business leaders who contribute $10,000 or more annually. The Society honors individuals for their overwhelming support of our mission. 

Who is Alexis de Tocqueville?

Alexis de Tocqueville was a French philosopher and philanthropist who travelled America in 1831. His journals record his thoughts on democracy and his observations about the remarkable commitment Americans make to the improvement of their communities. The name Tocqueville Society was chosen in honor of his admiration for the spirit of voluntary association and effort toward its advancement.

RAINIER MEMBER ($5,000+ annually)

  For as little as $97 a week, your gift could ensure access to occupational therapy for 50 struggling children.

EVERGREEN MEMBER ($2,500+ annually)

  For as little as $49 a week, your gift could provide 145 hours of one-on-one academic support for struggling students.

PIERCE MEMBER ($1,000+ annually)


For as little as $20 a week, your gift could supply 385 pounds of food for families in need.
