Scholarships

United Way of Pierce County believes that, through hard work and determination, all of Pierce County’s young people have the potential to attain their long-term educational goals. Providing scholarship opportunities is one of the best ways we can give back to our youth leaders and volunteers who have given so much of their time and support. There are a variety of scholarships available.

Willie Stewart Community Service Scholarship The Willie Stewart Community Service Scholarship program celebrates and recognizes Pierce County high school seniors who have given back to their community through volunteer service. Scholarships in the amount of $750-$2000 are awarded in a competitive process to graduating seniors who are going on to further education and who have spent a minimum of 50 hours in the past year serving their community. Deadline is April 1st.
