Socktober October 1 - October 31

Join United Way of Pierce County in celebrating Socktober this month!

The changing leaves and cooler temperatures are a reminder that - for those who are homeless or for families struggling to get by - fall and winter can be challenging without adequate cold weather supplies and footwear.

YOU CAN HELP! Below are a few ways to make a difference for those in need this fall and winter.

Hold a Socktober Sock Drive - Collect socks to be distributed to local programs supporting homeless individuals and families.

Hold a drive to collect warm winter wear - Collect coats, hats, scarves, gloves, etc. for kids in need. All items will be distributed to local organizations and schools to keep kids warm this fall and winter.

Hold a drive and build winter essentials packs - Collect essential items to support those who are experiencing homelessness. Winter essentials packs will be distributed to local organizations working with homeless individuals and families.
