BOLD GOAL: United, we will lift 15,000 families out of poverty by 2028
United Way of Pierce County has served our community since 1921. Our history is rooted in partnerships—bringing people from different walks of life together to improve conditions for children, families and individuals. While that will never change, our role as a community fundraiser has shifted as the United Way movement has sharpened our focus to solve key community issues that are preventing people from meeting their full potential. Today we are leading change by breaking the cycle of poverty in Pierce County.

Board of Directors
The board is the governing body of a nonprofit. The members of a nonprofit board focus on the high-level strategy, oversight, and accountability of the organization. This contrasts with employees or managers who oversee the day-to-day operations of the nonprofit. 
Financial Information
United Way of Pierce County takes our role as steward of donor money very seriously. We engage community volunteers to oversee every aspect of our management and financial systems to ensure that we are operating at the highest levels of professionalism and excellence. We also submit to an annual independent audit, to ensure continued financial responsibility, accountability and inspire trust and confidence in all our stakeholders.
